Terry Hsiao

Terry Hsiao is a well-recognized entrepreneur in the mobile telecommunications industry. Since 2000, he has founded three start-ups, including InphoMatch (later rebranded Mobile 365) which was acquired by Sybase for $425M in 2006. Currently, he serves as CEO of Hook Mobile, a cloud communications platform for IP apps and services.

Mr Hsiao was appointed by two Governors of Virginia to serve on the Board of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Investment Authority, overseeing public policy on innovations and venture investment. Hsiao has served as a member on the Board of Governors at MIT Sloan School of Management, Board Member at Monte Jade DC Chapter, Advisory Board at Rutgers University College of Engineering, and the Confucius Institute at George Mason University (GMU).

Terry was selected as Entrepreneur of the Year by Asian American Chamber of Commerce in 2017, and was recently honored as one of Top 100 Minority Business Entrepreneurs. An engineer by trade, Hsiao received Honors BSEE from Rutgers University and SM (MBA) from MIT Sloan School of Management.
