Opening remarks – State of the identity nation
In her current role as vice president of Business Operations in QCSS, Laura Hart leads a number of teams focused on developing business strategies for cybersecurity solutions, bringing biometric products (including ultrasonic fingerprint products) to the government sector and enabling government use of Qualcomm commercial technologies. She is a key member of the division's executive team, helping to set strategic direction and ensuring the division is organized for success. Hart joined Qualcomm in 1997 as a program manager in Qualcomm’s Government Technologies division.
Prior to Qualcomm, Hart was the operations manager for Raytheon, leading a group that transitioned through several defense contractor consolidations including Hughes, Alliant Techsystems and Systems Integrated. She has more than 30 years of experience managing programs for both commercial and government customers. Hart began her career as a digital design engineer at General Dynamics Convair. She also worked for five years for Sverdrup Technology in Tennessee as a systems engineer and project leader.
For the past six years, Hart has been an active board member of the San Diego and Imperial Counties chapter of the American Red Cross. She has also been on the board of Make-A-Wish San Diego for one year.
Born and raised in San Diego, Hart is a proud native of ‘America's finest city’. She earned a BS in Electrical Engineering at San Diego State University where she also played on the women’s basketball team.
